What are we looking for?
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team Lead to join our Managed Services team. As the Managed Services Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of fraud analysts and specialists in effectively detecting, preventing, and mitigating fraudulent activities for our clients. Leading and coordinating the team’s efforts to safeguard our clients’ businesses from potential financial losses and reputational damage due to fraud. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive knowledge of fraud management, and a track record of achieving exceptional results.
What are the role responsibilities?
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to the managed services team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Assist/Set clear performance expectations, goals, and KPIs for team members, monitoring progress and providing regular feedback on their performance.
- Oversee and coordinate the team’s efforts in monitoring and analysing transactions and activities to detect potential fraudulent behaviour promptly.
- Conduct in-depth investigations into suspected fraud cases, ensuring thorough analysis and accurate decision-making.
- Assist your line Manager in developing and implementing comprehensive fraud prevention strategies and tactics.
- Stay informed about emerging fraud trends and industry best practices to enhance the effectiveness of fraud management services.
- Engage with clients to understand their specific fraud prevention needs and concerns, providing expert guidance and insights.
- Proactively address client inquiries and concerns related to fraud management, building strong and trustful client relationships.
- Conduct training sessions for the team to ensure they stay up-to-date on fraud management techniques, tools, and best practices.
- Encourage continuous learning and professional development within the team.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in all fraud management activities.
- Prepare regular reports on fraud trends, case investigations, and team performance for the Manager and senior management.
- Identify opportunities for streamlining and optimising fraud management processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Do you have what it takes to apply?
- Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in fraud prevention or risk management are advantageous.
- 3 years of experience within fraud management or the payments industry would be preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of fraud types, detection techniques, risk mitigation strategies, and fraud prevention tools.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess complex fraud-related data and draw meaningful insights.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, senior management, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, while maintaining a focus on delivering exceptional fraud management services.
